Guidelines for proper use

Before starting to apply the "Linfa" Mission, remember these simple guidelines, they will help you achieve flawless gilding that will transform your projects into true works of art!

First step

Carefully prepare the surface you want to gild, making sure it is clean, dry, and not water-repellent. The "Linfa" Mission adheres perfectly to wood, plaster, and stucco supports, but will have difficulty on surfaces treated with water-repellent products.
For an optimal result, if necessary, lightly sand the surface to increase adhesion. Proper preparation is essential to ensure that the metal leaf adheres perfectly and that the gilding is uniform and long-lasting.

Second step

Apply the "Linfa" Mission with a brush in thin and even layers, without diluting it. The key to a perfect gilding is the application of a thin but even layer, avoiding accumulations that could compromise the final result. Choose a brush with soft, quality bristles that allows you to perfectly control the application. If you are working on carved or detailed surfaces, use a smaller brush to reach even the most difficult spots, ensuring that every area to be gilded is covered evenly. If you work on absorbent surfaces, two layers of mission may be needed; apply the first, wait for the mission to set, and then apply the second even layer!

Third step

Wait 15-20 minutes after applying the mission before proceeding with the application of the metal leaf. This time is necessary for the mission to reach the right sticky consistency, while maintaining a transparency that will allow you to see where it has been applied. One of the most appreciated features of the "Linfa" Mission is that it remains sticky for a significantly longer time compared to common glues, giving you the opportunity to work calmly and precisely. When the mission becomes transparent but still sticky to the touch, it is the ideal time to apply the leaf.
