Guidelines for proper use

Before starting your paint stripping project, follow these simple guidelines that will help you achieve professional results with maximum safety and respect for the environment.

First step

Before applying Magic Paint Paint Stripper, protect the work area with sheets or newspaper to avoid damaging surrounding surfaces. If you want, wear protective gloves, even though the product is gentle and does not harm the skin, to keep your hands clean during application. Make sure the ambient temperature is above +5°C to ensure the optimal effectiveness of the product.
Check that the surface to be treated is dry and free of dust. Remember that the paint stripper works by contact, so more layers of paint will require longer action times.

Second step

Apply the Magic Paint Paint Stripper generously on the surface using a stiff-bristled brush. Create a uniform layer of 1-2 millimeters thick to ensure effective action over the entire area. The creamy consistency of the product facilitates application, preventing drips even on vertical surfaces. Do not dilute the product; it is ready to use in its optimal formula. For very large surfaces, work in sections of about one square meter at a time, so you can easily manage the removal process. Make sure that all the paint to be removed is completely covered by the stripper.

Third step

After application, leave the product to act for the necessary time, which will vary depending on the climate, humidity, and the type and thickness of paint to be removed. Remember never to let the product dry but to keep it always moist by massaging with the brush. During this period, the paint remover will continue to work, progressively softening the various layers of paint. You will notice the paint softening by the wrinkled appearance the surface will take on. It is possible to check the progress by doing a small test with a spatula: if the paint lifts easily, it is the right time to proceed with removal.

Fourth step

When the paint is completely softened, proceed to remove it using a metal spatula or a rigid plastic one, depending on the delicacy of the underlying surface. For more difficult areas or corners, you can use a stiff-bristled brush or a damp cloth. After removal, clean the surface with a cloth moistened with warm water to eliminate any product residues. Let it dry completely before proceeding with any subsequent treatment. The surface will now be perfectly clean and ready to be renewed with the products from the Magic Paint line.

If your support is wood and shows traces of stains or dyes, you can remove them with fine steel wool and alcohol.
