Guidelines for proper use

Before applying the colored liquid wax to your Magic Paint projects, follow these simple guidelines that will allow you to achieve professional results with patina effects that enhance your work, giving it an authentic and refined appearance.

First step

Make sure that the surface painted with Magic Paint is already protected with an appropriate product before applying the colored liquid wax. This step is essential to ensure durability for your restyling. Use the Legendary wax for low-wear furniture or the transparent liquid protector for surfaces subject to greater stress, such as tables and chairs. Wait for the protector to be completely dry before proceeding with the patina. A well-protected base will greatly facilitate the application of the colored wax and ensure a more even and lasting result.

Second step

Choose a brush suitable for the surface to be treated, preferably round for circular movements or a flat brush to follow the wood grain.
Shake the product well before use and apply the colored liquid wax with rotating movements if you want to highlight friezes and decorative elements, or with small linear strokes following the direction of the wood grain to emphasize recesses and panels. Work on small areas at a time, as the drying is very fast. The wax will naturally penetrate the grain and details, creating an effect of depth and authenticity.

Third step

Immediately after application, while the wax is still fresh, you can adjust the intensity of the color using various techniques. For a more subtle effect, go over the surface again with the same brush without product, or use a microfiber cloth, cotton, or a fine-grain stocking to gently blend the color. Each tool will give a different finish: the stocking, in particular, will provide an extremely smooth and delicate surface.
If the result does not satisfy you or you want a more intense effect, wait for it to dry completely and repeat the application, gradually building up the patina until you achieve the desired effect.
