Marigold Fibrous Charcoal is based on a design by William Morris, registered as wallpaper in 1875. The pattern incorporates large marigold flowers among sprays of willow-like leaves, on a base of foliage and smaller flowers. The monochrome design was produced in a wide variety of colors. Morris also registered the design as printed cotton later in 1875, one of only three designs that Morris intended to produce both as fabric and as wallpaper. Marigold Fibrous Charcoal features the famous Morris design on a textured, matte charcoal-colored paper, beautifully detailed with a copper metallic print, adding a striking element to this dark-toned wallpaper, making it the perfect choice for a distinctive atmosphere.
