Drawing on an archival document, Fringed Tulip Toile is reimagined as an aged batik-style print. The tulips and double-headed parrot roses appear vintage yet very refined. This structured and essential design mimics the extraction printing technique; a special block printing process that removes a color to create a lightened, almost bleached effect to reveal the pattern in a new light.
