Daisy was the first wallpaper produced by Morris & Co. and is inspired by medieval illustrations. Morris created this design after embroidering daisy motifs on tapestries for the Red House. This version retains the naively drawn daisies and buttercups but has been simplified by removing the tufts of grass in the background and is available in the original color variants.
