What does water-repellent mean and when should it be used?
MAGIC WATER is the water-repellent product by Magic Paint.
It is a protective, transparent satin finish that repels water in any form.
It is odorless and silky to the touch.
It resists weathering and does not yellow, resists aggressive stains, scratches, impacts, and heavy wear.
It is highly breathable.
WHERE TO USE IT:
– FOR INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR USE
– FLOORS (CONCRETE, WOOD, TILES, STONES, MARBLE)
– FURNITURE (WOOD, IRON, PLASTIC, GLASS, ETC.)
– INSIDE SHOWER
– SUITABLE FOR ALL SUBSTRATES WHERE HIGH WATER REPELLENCY or WEAR RESISTANCE IS REQUIRED
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
HOW TO PREPARE THE SUBSTRATE:
– Check that any pre-existing paint does not peel or is irregular. alternatively, remove it.
– Clean with ABA (hot water, baking soda, and ammonia) using a sponge (like a dish sponge) and rinse with a soft cloth and water. repeat the treatment several times if necessary.
– Check that joints or holes are perfectly sealed.
alternatively, fill, sand, and remove dust before proceeding with the treatment.
– If there is silicone present (e.g. shower or sanitary fixtures) remove it completely, paying attention to residues.
once completely dry it will be appropriate to reapply the silicone.
– The product must be applied on a dry substrate.
– The substrate must not be exposed to moisture during application, it must be clean, free of grease, oil stains, and other types of dirt.
THE MIXTURE MUST BE USED WITHIN 2 HOURS OF MIXING THE COMPONENTS.
DURING THE ENTIRE TREATMENT IT IS IMPORTANT TO MAINTAIN A CONSTANT ROOM TEMPERATURE, THERE MUST BE NO THERMAL SHOCKS.
INSIDE THE PACKAGE YOU WILL FIND:
BICOMPONENT BASE A AND CATALYSIS BASE B
MIXING:
- Thoroughly mix the BICOMPONENT BASE A for a few minutes using an iron or plastic support (not wood). The magic paint jar opener is perfect for this use.
- Pour the entire content of the CATALYSIS BASE B jar into the BICOMPONENT BASE A jar.
- Continue mixing the 2 components for 2-3 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
If temperatures are particularly high and dry, it can be diluted with water, but only after thoroughly mixing components a and b.
– 10 gr. of water for the 250 gr. size.
– 40 gr. of water for the 750 gr. size.
APPLICATION:
- – Perfect brush application is recommended with “super silk”, or a magic paint sponge roller.
- – Apply a uniform layer of product using cross-stroking.
- – Use the brush with circular motions on irregular surfaces and apply in the direction of the length.
- – The product appears "whitish" during application, it will become completely transparent and satin-finished when fully dried.
- -If necessary, it is recommended to apply a second coat.
- -The product yield is intended for two coats:
4/5 sqm for the 250 g package and 10/12 sqm for the 750 g package
DRY TO THE TOUCH TIME: 2 hours (variable depending on season and air humidity).
COMPLETE DEEP DRYING: 6/7 days (once fully dried, it can be walked on or heavy furniture can be placed
